Anyone with short bed and bags, pulling a trailer?

Can the air bags support the added weight of pulling a car trailer? (with electic brakes of course)

This would be on a short box '70. (big block)

Bags are originally made for this application. They should work great.

i just bagged my 68 shortbed.....originally i wanted it as a pull vehicle....i used the 2600 lb bags in the back....that's what Air Ride recommended and said it'd pull a car tailer fine....haven't tried it yet but like Phantom Dually said, that's basically what the bags were designed to do.

That is what I was thinking of buying one day. (2600#) I was just hoping for some real world experience before I did it.

I don't know if it this applies, but i've been hauling around my inline 6 engine with tranny attached to parts swapmeets on my s10 with air over leaf. It just takes the load and takes 90 psi like a champ.

Repo1, air bags on the back of 67-72's work very well. I pull an 18ft steel floor car trailer w/o any probs. See this link for my specs....

Ok.... sucky pic.... but a pic nonetheless...... if you look closely (real closely) the trailer is hooked up in the picture.

On my old 68 I had Early Classic bags in the rear- I beleive they were like 3800lb each. They towed awesome- 20 foot car trailer.

No.......... but after re-sizing to allow posting I couldn't sharpen the image any better. I've got several pics of the truck pulling a loaded trailer but the 'puter won't/can't find the images on the disc they were saved on.
