1974 Slambulance G10

Had my eye on this old van for some time. Thought it would make a cool tailgating, hot rod....ahh thing. So I finally had it hauled down to Phoenix from Montana.

Here's where it sat:

Cleaned it up:

Its a 74 van so it had to get sidepipes and I wanted a 'new' type stance so it got lowered with 20x10 in the back and 18's in the front:

(Thanks -TREND AUTO- for all the help)

CarbonCrew - What siren is the Slambulance running? I had a late 70s firetruck that was running a Federal Signal Director PA-15. Pretty common and iconic for that time period.

I was thinking about bringing my pickup to the Git Down but I could probably get a friend to bring the slambulance!

lol...thanks guys, its already been a lot of fun. The light bar came from a late 60's (I think) firetruck that was put out about the same time as the ambulance. I talked them into throwing that in the ambulance before it got transported. I'm not sure what type it is. It does say Federal Signal though. The removed light bar said code3 on it I think. I do know its fricken loud! I love how all the old lights look turned on. It reminds me of going on tow calls with my Dad when I was a kid.

Sweet ride and nice transformation! I'm surprised they left the Montana plates on it too when they sold it!

Thanks Dieselwrencher....I'm glad they did, it wouldn't have the 'coolness' without the old school paint/decals/plates.

Thanks. When I looked at the van I thought I could get it to polish, but was a little surprised how it looked when I was done.

What's cool is that one didn't have a whole heap of added stuff all drilled and cut into it (compared to some), yet she's the real McCoy!

Yeah, that's what got me thinking about it when it popped up. The inside and outside wasn't stripped and still had it's 70's ambulance vibe.

It shows less than 10K, so who knows. I assume it was always an ambulance.

Thanks guys

Re: 1974 Slambulance G10

The pinstripe was faded and falling off so I decided to put one back on. Gotta love ebay, searched fire truck pin stripe and someone had 100ft for 10 bucks. That fits in this budget....besides the pinstripe will be shiny at night...who doesn't like shiny???
