Exclamation Got My LS Swap Today But One Problem (MAYBE??)

I got my 5.3 engine and trans delivered today complete with full harness and ecu. Unfortunately it was raining today and I'm worried that my ecu and harness is possibly damaged from the rain water. Should i try to take the ecu apart and try to clean it with something, and what about the harness??

The ECU is a sealed unit and should be fine. They are under the hood of most trucks and cars so they are made to withstand weather. Just make sure there is no water in the connectors that are unplugged.

it should be fine. just let it all sit out and drive a bit. the pcm is sealed. i'd get your compressor and blow out the harness fittings to make sure no standing water has collected in them

Make sure the connector headers are BONE DRY first and everything will be OK. If the harness got wet, take the time to dry it properly, but the ECM itself should be fine.
