Anyone still looking for 16.5 tires?

I was doing a little digging tonight and found out that Firestone makes them at a reasonable price. Firestone Transforce H/T in 8.75r16.5 and 9.50r16.5. I saw them up to 190$ new.

Thanks for sharing. Is that the only size Tire Rack had? They also make a 9.50 which works well on the optional 8.25 wide wheels.

Those transforces are great tires. I run them on almost all of my rigs. I wish they made a 285/75/16.

Re: Anyone still looking for 16.5 tires?

I've been digging real hard for tires because I wanna keep the original 16.5's on my truck and find a set of dog dish caps. Id only been seeing Military surplus tires for a long time, and 37's are a too big for what I want

Re: Anyone still looking for 16.5 tires?

couple of threads rolling around recently;

9.50 X 16 mud and snow skinny tire, do they make em?

tires 16.5

here was my 2¢

found the white steelies I needed to replace the rusty snaprings..

now just need to replace the firestones with the STA farm skinnies to get the look and feel back..

good luck!

transforce ht 9.50R16.5LT which btw I'll let go cheap if some on me needs a set as I'm planning to put the farm tires back on it..

wheels came cheap enough, tires were just a bonus..

was looking into converting to 16's but come to find out, in vintage style tires, 16.5's are as or more plentiful..

sticking with the 16.5s I currently have due to better tire selection in this type of tire.. factory 15" 8 lug snap-rings too rusty..

Don't all the 16.5" tires use those pesky split rims?

I think I would rather switch to a 16" to eliminate that issue alone....but hey, to each his own.

Re: Anyone still looking for 16.5 tires?

those 16.5 x 6.75 above are standard drop center wheels..

can't speak to the commonality of them today, but I've seen quite a few of them..

but yes, generally speaking, 16s are are a lot more plentiful in tire selection..

however, for the type of tires I'm replacing, 16.5s are available the sizes closer to original..

this set was an easy local buy, so I'm runnin' them
