My old truck is home again

Bought this 69 C10 back in 1989. Started life with a 307, got a 383 for a few years, and then back to a mild 355. Had it painted around 1992. But since it spent most of its life outside, the paint started looking bad 15 years later, mostly due to clear coat flaking.

Gave it to my son 8-9 years ago. He drove it on weekends for a few years, and then sent it to his friend who owns S&S Motorsports in Sarasota, FL. https://carsbyss.com/

They did a great job repairing body imperfections and surface rust, and then gave it a fantastic PPG paint job. The truck got all new USA-made trim, along with new grille and bumpers. Engine is still strong and leak-free, so all they did was pull it so they could paint it and the engine compartment.

Anyway, I just got the truck back yesterday and have lots of plans for it, such as replacing the 1998 cable-actuated Vintage Air unit, shortening the steering column, and maybe replacing the original but faithful TH350 with an OD trans.

1969 C10 (not the current one) that I bought in the early 1980s. Paid $1200; sold for $1500 a few years later. Just a hint at the appreciation that was coming.
