3OTT to Hurst floor swap?
72 6 cyl
Have searched back to 2004 but pics no longer come up on most threads. Anyone have pics of theirs showing shifter to seat (bench) space and reverse bracket added to the HURST linkage kit? Can old linkage be entirely removed without cutting anything? and before anyone chimes in about keeping the 3OTT, don't. It works fine, I don't like it, don't care about "stock". |

Old linkage can be removed without cutting anything.
I did elect to cut the shifter "nub" off the column and then covered the hole by mounting my Sun tach in that location. K

Re: 3OTT to Hurst floor swap?
My C10 originally came with the 292 IL6 and 3OTT. My father-in-law converted it to a floor shift. I am removing the 3 speed and installing a Muncie M20.

You need to search for ‘mastershift’. That’s the name of the hurst 3 speed. Some of the threads will show pics of mr. Gasket shifters. They bolt on just like the hurst does but the shift cluster is designed slightly differently. |

Re: 3OTT to Hurst floor swap?
Thanks guys, I searched 3 speed floor shifter....6 pages came up and I looked through those threads, several titled 3OTT to floor..:, very few pics but I did get a clue where the shifter comes up through floorboard. Will mark from bottom then cut. Have done a few stick conversions before, this is just shifter. I did read the Mastershift 411 about adjusting so the shift lever is more forward. I suspect it will take some tweaking to get it to clear seat in 1st/3rd
This is the HURST one I was getting with the install kit & reverse switch...basically from Speedway via Amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000BW8S0Q...v_ov_lig_dp_it https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000CMKGKU...v_ov_lig_dp_it https://www.summitracing.com/parts/huu-2480003 |
