The nuts that hold the master cyl on have to be removed. You should be able to just pull the master away from the firewall instead of completely removing it. You don't mention if it is manual or auto trans, or manual or power brakes and that all makes a difference. You have to drop the steering column down. I think there are two bolts that hold it to the bottom of the dash and one up under the dash. It's been quite a while since I removed one so I'm a little fuzzy on it.
