Re: Truck sitting for 30+ years

Great thread, I saw a truck like yours for sale near me a couple years ago and I was pretty sure that it was a fake, or that some well meaning owner duded up his C20 with C30 badging. Only after some searching did I understand that these were actually made by GM. I think it is safe to call yours "rare" especially in the condition it is in.

It is your truck and we all agree that you get to decide what to do with it, but I bet you can get the original engine running without too much trouble. If the wiring harness is chewed up I have great news: there aren't a lot of wires in that harness!

If it is the original six cylinder it will be a 292, great engine and sought after. Even if you proceed with an engine swap it'll be worth it to you to sell the old one as a runner.

Anyway congrats on a great truck with some family history to boot. Keep us posted please.
