Re: New to me 1972 K5

So was in Autozone to pick up a heater core for the K5. I brought my new GM fuel pump to find out what compression fittings were avaiable... The counter guy says there is a Dorman repair kit I should look at HERE

Dorman # 800-058:: Its an 18" OE style nylon piece with a GM connector on one side and they include a brass barb for the other... I thought I would use this to connect to a 3/8 hard line... just get my own barbed end to mate to the hard line... The instructions say to put the end in HOT WATER to soften it before attempting to insert the brass end..... It would be on top of the tank and well protected....

Dorman # 800-058:: 3/8 compression to barb fitting. This should let me attache to the existing hard line....

forgot to mention the connector... Airtex WH3009 4 wires, flat blade, female $12 from AutoZone
