I did get the engine and trans installed in the frame yesterday. I ended up changing from the black mounts (which I thought were V8 mounts) back to my original 6 cyl mounts. I did not like how far forward the engine sat with the other mounts. My only concern is the clearence between the driver side valve cover and the firewall in the recess area. There is only about 1/4"-3/8" clearance between the two. The other side is fine.

I might have to redo my brake lines, there might not be enough room for headers and shift likage the way I ran my lines...we'll see. I did not work on it at all today. Just had other things that needed my attension around the house...

There is plenty of clearance to install/remove the HEI distributer with the cap removed. I put it in after the engine was already installed:
