1965 Armrest Hole Question / Need Help

I seem to be having an issue with a 1955-66 deluxe armrest. I purchased a set to install in my 1965 Chevy Suburban and it appears the mounting holes in the armrest are off considerably from my OEM door panel that came with the mounting holes/cage nuts installed from the factory.

I'm fairly certain that I read that all years are the same and I am aware that the 1966 armrest crossed over to the 1967-Mid 1968 body style, based off of that information I checked an OEM template I have from one of my NOS 1967 armrest boxes. The template matches my 1965 door panel perfectly.

So I'm not sure why these armrests are so far off? I see plenty of guys run them. Does any one have hole to hole measurements of their "Deluxe" style armrests?

Any help would greatly be appreciated!
