Post 396 " Z " Block

I have run across a 396/402 block with a "Z" code . It is also stamped "truck pass hi perf" It is a 2 bolt main. I`ve noticed its much heavier than the other 396 blocks I have. Does anyone know what this block is? Why its heavier? Can it be bored out to use as a 427/454 ?? Any info on this block would be greatly appreciated. Thanks from Chris.
