What are the advantages of the strong arms? I have my chopped x-member in and bolted up and am wondering what direction to head? I am planning on running bags and my stock spindel's with disk brakes,but should I save the coin for the strong arms or will the stockers rebuilt work just as well. I am just now getting to this point in the build and would like some opinions before I start to build this stage of the truck. Thanks Luke..

If you are considering the strong arms here are some of the benefits. 1. When you get them you get all new bushings, ball joints, cross shafts installed into a brand new a-arm. 2. On the front of the 63-72 C-10 you will gain a couple degrees of caster which will help with drivability and alignment. 3. They are built to be stronger than the factory arms and come powdercoated black to help match most chassis components. 4. Who doesn't want tubular control arms. They're just cool! J/K I had to throw that one in.

Just making sure we're all in the know... LSC71, I believe, is an employee of ART.

Having said that, my ART control arms are well built, and do get you a couple of extra degrees of KPI correction for the extremely lowered truck.

5. Bag mounts directly to the arm, eliminating the lower cup and providing a straighter arc for the bag during suspension travel.

Very good point and for what its worth we also include a shock mount, steering stop, and swaybar mount already welded to the arm.

If go with the strong arms what do I need to save off the stock front end set-up other than spindles and my steering? Do I need all the shims or any other little misc parts?

Hang on to your shims, bolts and nuts. You will need those to reinstall the new arms. Other than that whatever comes off with the control arm you can get rid of.
