Some people are like Slinkies... not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

Re: xmas lights! post up your light displays

I did the same "field dressed" deer thing 4 years ago. at the time we had a quiet neighborhood and a lot of people would walk by. I got numerous complaints from Moms and compliments from Dads.
I think this year I will use the Santa suit, stuff it and make a scarecrow of sorts. except i will have him sitting in a chair with an old non-functional BB gun with Rudolph hanging next to him. LOL

Re: xmas lights! post up your light displays

well i took advantage of the 40-60 f temps over the last week to put the light out. our turkey day is held in oct and since remberance day or vet's day is pasted it's time to for me toget in the festive mode. 98% of the time are weather is 10 f and a foot of snow. the plastic wires are a pain and frozzen body parts well you know the rest of the story.

How about an empty bottle of bourbon too? I used to be competetive about it. I'd always try to be the first to get mine out. Sometimes I'd keep an eye on the neighbors to make sure no one has moves a ladder out yet. Usually they'd follow within a day or two. Sometimes they's take it too far and I'd have to run to the store for more lights. Thank goodness I live on a dead end dirt road now. I might do the covered porch area for our guests, but nothing extreme.
