Re: Bag'n & Drag'n ..Blocks??

I see nothing wrong with the occasional drag. If you are set up correctly and know what you are doing. The guys that are stupid and ruin it for everyone, are the ones that lay it completely out for miles at a time. They do this every chance they get and F-up their rides.
These trucks give us all a bad name. people see them driving, half ass thrown together, rattling and making more noise then an empty spray can. Then people get the impression that all truck enthusiasts are this way.
In closing, LOL, if your gonna drag. Drag smart.....
(BTW, it took me a few years to realize all this.)

Re: Bag'n & Drag'n ..Blocks??

Jason makes a very good point, but when I finally get my truck back togther there is no way after all that work to make it look nice am I going to be dragging it. It throws peices of the road in places you *don't* want it, and genaerally damages the vehicle. I do, however, love a good (but breif) spark show from time to time, and have been known togive a few myself while my truck was in it's "under construction" stage.

The current rage of draggin trailer balls is not something I suppport. It's even more dangerous than just draggin frame, and it just seems like cheating to me. Kind of falls into the same category of guys who use unsafe methods to "lay frame".

Re: Bag'n & Drag'n ..Blocks??

Dragging parts of a vehicle on a PUBLIC road in order to shower sparks to attract attention to one's self while endangering others is not only stupid but also immature & highly irresponsible.

Regardless of it being "set up correctly and know what you are doing" the fact remains that one is taking weight from a controlled surface (tires) and putting it on an uncontrolled surface (frame/blocks, trailer balls, etc) which in turn makes the vehicle "light" and reduces the amount of control one has on said vehicle.

Anyone that is caught doing this not only deserves a ticket but should also lose their license.

Remember: one will be referred to as a moron only when one acts the part.

X2, and what happens when your drag block or trailer ball snaps off( and they do) and kills some one?

Re: Bag'n & Drag'n ..Blocks??

Nice vid and truck. I highly doubt that was around here lol. Our roads suck. My 04 crewcab is 3/5 and I am not sure I would want to go much lower.

Re: Bag'n & Drag'n ..Blocks??

man let me tell you how dangerous it is, i hung my 72 up on a manhole while running it low. i thank god for me coming up to a stop light and only doing a bout 10 mph. the lca caught the lip of the manhole, the manhole won. it bent my frame down about 6 inches and out about 4 inches and put me into the windshield. dont f$$$ around with that stuff, it will kill you.

Any activity that can result in a fine and/or possibly arrest is most definitely not "ok" ...

Every time this topic comes up it goes sour. This post has lasted longer than I expected.

The topic has been covered, and I feel that it is time to close it before things get ugly.
