If you are using real wood or even simulated wood. Get some 3m or other brand double sided tape. That is what I use at work when attaching a simulated wood grain panel to a dash.

origionally, the instrument bezel I had was faded, so I cut some black formica to attatch to it, and I used a thin layer of silicon for weatherstripping layed on with a putty knife. just apply an even layer, and spread, then apply the cover, and set a piece of wood over it, with a few bricks to set it in flush. the tape works, but gets brittle after a few years. (this worked for me) otherwise, they sell a new one w/ woodgrain (simulated) at www.****************.com
