Can anybody tell me about the ride height of these trucks?

Hey guys.
I recently paid off my auto loan and have decided that I'm going to save all the money I was paying in car payments to be able to put it towards building the C10 of my dreams. I've been a 4x4 guy pretty much my whole life and I've wanted to build a 4x4 C10 for many years now but in the last few months I've started to like the looks of the 2wd C10's more and more and am starting to think about maybe building a 2wd C10 instead of a 4x4.

I've collected some of my favorite youtube C10 vids and will post links below. I'm no expert so I'm coming to you guys for help. I'm wondering if the trucks below are stock ride height or have they been lowered?
I'm mainly wondering if these trucks are stock or lowered because I think they have an awesome stance but I don’t really want a lowered truck because I want to be able to use the truck I build as a truck and to me it seems like if you lower a truck then its gonna put it in the realm of mainly a street cruiser and like I said I need to be able to use it as a truck from time to time including driving on rough dirt roads without having any clearance issues.
Here are some of my favorite youtube trucks. Are these stock or not?

Here's on for sale on ebay with a nice vid of it in the ad

im thinking this one might have been lowered a little bit

They all look mildly lowered to me. To give you an idea, I can fit my head inside the rear wheel well with the tire on and on the ground, while I bleed the brakes...and I'm a big dude. I've got a stock height 2wd

i dont think any of our year trucks came without a steep rake so I doubt any of those are stock. the back is always a couple inches higher than the front. Those all look "leveled".

FYI my truck is bagged (lays frame), and I can lift to stock height. I still use it as a truck. Videos in my signature.

Thanks for the pic Mister-B
If you truck is stock then I think the other ones have been lowered a bit. I'm going to have to watch the vids a few more times to compare but I'd say that the last one for sure has been lowered.

Well first off welcome to the very best 67-72 Forum you will ever find. Very nice thing about these trucks is how low can you go? Followed by mostly 4x4s is how high is enough? You should find comfort someplace in between.

Got any more pics of your truck?
I need to see as many examples of each bed length as possible. So many of the trucks have been lowered it's hard to find pics of stock height trucks

Re: Can anybody tell me about the ride height of these trucks?

My truck was really high. Almost looked like a 4x4. I think 32 or 33 inched to the wheel well. Mine looked like mister-b's truck or maybe even an inch higher. Now it sits at like 22.5" after a couple mods

Re: Can anybody tell me about the ride height of these trucks?

One thing to add - Mister B's truck is a C20, so it will sit higher than a C10. Also it has 16" wheels and c10s have 15s. That will also make them look lower.

Good luck with your search. There is a really clean (no rust) 1970 C20 project for sale on the Trucks for Sale forum right now. That would be a great start.

Here is a recent thread with pics also.

The day has finally come when people don't know what the stock hight is because so many of these trucks have been altered.

There are other factors too, such as my truck came with the hd rear leaf spring option.

Hey, thanks. It's definitely come a long way since I bought it (here's what it looked like then)
