Suspension questions

I'm new to this forum. I just picked up a 48. I was wondering if you guys can point me in the direction of some good old threads dealing with suspension builds. I'm wanting to build it myself and not buy a aftermarket kit. I am a welder/mechanic by trade so I'm not worried about cutting and welding. I do have a 87 camaro and a 85 c10 to work with. I'm also wanting to keep it all Chevy/GMC. I don't have any issues with Ford or Mopar. It's just a personal preference of mine not to mix.

Re: Suspension questions

to help some members and myself answer this question better. are you planning on dropping it to the ground, keeping it close to stock height or jack it up in the air

Stock height would be fine and a little lower would also work. I'm not wanting to slam it. I live in the country and plan on driving the truck on a regular basis.
