Anyone else into boats/boating too?

Hey guys and gals,

Anyone else on this awesome forum also into boating? We enjoy powerboating (Go-Fast boats) and spend A LOT of weekends on the river here in Virginia. Have made a lot of great friends on the water. The gas aint cheap but the fun is worth it!

If anyone else has a boat(s), post them up so we can see!

Below are my two current toys, my 72 SWB w/350 and my 96 232 SC Interceptor w/ 454 Big Block.

Thanks for looking.

Cool truck and boat.

We have some nice lakes around here. I used to be "into" boating until I realized it made my car hobby seem super cheap. I sold the boat and now hang out with friends with boats

Re: Anyone else into boats/boating too?

Hey Jesse. Yeah, sometimes I think that I would be better off just hanging with "friends with boats" too! Then when I do, I miss not being on mine. Viscous cycle! Lol.
Thanks a lot for the compliment! Take it easy.

This was my combo: I sold it two years ago. Still have the truck though.

Re: Anyone else into boats/boating too?

We spend just about every weekend out on the water. We mainly hit the river which is here in town but occasionally take weekend trips to some of the local lakes.

Always been into the go-fast boats but budget didn't allow for one when I purchased this boat. I keep talking about upgrading but then I would lose valuable garage space for my truck(s).

I have an '89 Sea Ray 200BR. Its slow but has a big stereo and gets us out on the water which is the main thing.

We love night rides

I have a little Boston Whaler with a 40 Merc on it. It barely breaks 30mph but it fun to take out on the ocean for exploring islands and camping.

Re: Anyone else into boats/boating too?

Can't seem to find any pictures.... that weird
Anyway,I have 1990 Crownline 190 Bowrider. I haven't had it out in over a year. Electrical problems and a week 4.3Mercruiser. Too many other projects.
But, I have a 1996 LT1 waiting to go in it. It currently will run 60 with me in it, so I am expecting 60+ with all the Family.
About two years ago I shelled out #1 cylinder from ethanol burn. I pulled the motor and replaced all 6 pistons/rings and slapped it back together. I just intended it to last the season, Well it made it all season and part of the nest before it stated showing some problems. It will still run ok, but the LT1 is calling my name.
I'll try and find some pics and post them.

Re: Anyone else into boats/boating too?

Took the boat out Saturday even though it lightly rained on us most of the day. It finally quit, picked up the family and had dinner out on the pump out in front of town. Had a great time.

Snapped a pretty cool pic of the boat and downtown Evansville.
