spicer pto

Good evening gents
I have a 1966 c20 4spd sm420 I think. It has been a farm dump bed since new. The cover plate on the side of the tranny needs a new gasket and seal for the pto shaft. Does anyone have the part numbers? The local auto parts stores will probably not know what i am talking about. Thanks, Lowell

Novack, or you can make your own gasket from material at your local auto parts store. You can also use silicone .

All Fel-Pro numbers

55380 standard six bolt mounting gasket
55372 .020" thickness, used for shimming
55379 .010" thickness, used for shimming

I never had to use the shim gaskets on anything I've worked on, but I guess it depends on the application.

If you needed a shim, shouldn't there already be one installed that you could reuse?

Thank you for the part numbers, that is the only thing that leaks on my old truck.

No problem. I'm not too sure, but I was told that's what those two part numbers are for. I looked on Google and it just calls them PTO gaskets.
