Cup Holder Console Inserts

Is there such a thing as cup holder inserts for my 1970 console that can be installed without cutting?

If so, where can I get one.

Thanks

Jason

Re: Cup Holder Console Inserts

yes there is. go to http://www.earlyclassic.com/ they have a cool cup holder insert that replaces the factory ash tray. from the front it appears stock but when pulled out it has two holders. the only problem is that it won't hold large cups like a 44/46oz.

Hey I went to the link but couldn't find it, can you get the exact link and post it. Thanks
Jason, search past for sale threads, there was a guy who had some that came out of a ford windstar that mounted inside the ashtray and was way cool.
Anyone else out there have the link to that previous post?

Re: Cup Holder Console Inserts

I'VE NEVER SEEN ONE THAT REPLACES THE CONSOLE ASH TRAY. THE CUPHOLDER STYLE IS A REMOVABLE PANAL, BUT THE SEATBELT HOLDER STYLE IS ONE PIECE ATTACHED TO THE TOP HALF OF THE CONSOLE. JOHN
(OR AM I MISUNDERSTANDING THE QUESTION??)

So you think that's what he meant by "my 1970 console"?

Re: Cup Holder Console Inserts

Junk Yard John:

I was talking about the origional console for my 1970 CST. Not the ash tray. My console is the seatbelt holder kind and I believe you answered my question that it can only be switched to a cup holder style by either cutting or replacing the top half of the console.

Does anyone know where I can find a top half with the cup holders. I bet I'll just have to by one of those nice consoles listed for sale. I don't want to cut mine up.

Thanks

Jason

Re: Cup Holder Console Inserts

Did you ever find an insert to replace the stick ashtray/seatbelt holder?
