Results were much better than expected, especially for a first time painter working in my garage. Only a few very minor runs and it all leveled out pretty well. Here’s a few photos after removing the masking. The main color is Summit Racing Coastal Blue, single stage, 3 coats, followed by 2 coats of Summit Racing single stage clear.

Finished paint. Next step will be color sanding and polishing. Less orange peel on the second half of the truck. I figure my technique improved a little bit. Overall, still happy with results. At least I can start driving it again.

Good looking paint job! I like the way you took it around the rear of the bed.

Wow, it came together really nicely! Will you take it out to some local shows?
