Caps on steelies? Yea or nay
Just seeing what people think. I am leaning towards the caps.

With your truck being more unrestored I think it looks good without the caps as well.

Re: Caps on steelies? Yea or nay
Either way that blazer is cool.
I grew in Eastern Iowa. My Dad had a Skelly station. I remember him telling a customer once about the benefits of running hubcaps, mainly keeping the road salt from getting on the nuts/studs and corroding them together. We’re having a birthday bash for him, a week from today! He’s turning 90, and he’s in great health! Thank You, Lord! |

Re: Caps on steelies? Yea or nay
That Blazer looks great, with or without caps. But with caps it looks better, more complete. OTOH, when I get my K20 back with fresh paint, it won't have caps. I prefer that one to look like the workhorse it has always been.

Agree it looks great either way, you just can't go wrong. I lean toward no caps personally.

I like it either way, but if I were to choose one or the other, I would choose with caps.

Re: Caps on steelies? Yea or nay
Caps on the Blazer..the capless look is cool in K20s showing off the heavier 8 lugs

Re: Caps on steelies? Yea or nay
I'm a no caps guy! As an owner of an original 16.5" wheel option Blazer, I prefer the plain, white deep dished wheel look..

Re: Caps on steelies? Yea or nay
No caps until it is restored. Wide steelies were commonly run without caps back in the day. I like to do my unrestored trucks that I want to fix up and drive in the meanwhile as a cool truck from the past still surviving. I have N.O.S. caps for my GMC... in safe storage

Re: Caps on steelies? Yea or nay
I rock the hubcaps on my '73 Blazer, but that's mostly just to hide the 8 lug nuts
I like the caps
