Re: Let’s see where the wind blows me
I don't understand what is so ugly about this motorhome, a bit dated yes, but still quite nice for the time. I was a child in the late 70s early 80s, and our neighbors had an old Winnebago in their drive way and we loved to play on/in that thing. I, myself, would love to have an RV to do as you are right now and travel this great and beautiful country of ours.

I’m wondering if the Caddy inspired the truckster? Cool pics

Re: Let’s see where the wind blows me
I can't believe that GMC motorhome was built on the Toronado/Eldorado chassis. Isn't there a big ol' chain between the motor and transmission on those? I can't see that they would hold up past about 100 miles.
Great thread by the way!

My aunt and uncle in Pismo Beach Where I spent many holidays, had one in their driveway For like 25 years I never saw it move Its humor about it being so ugly (which it is) But it I could have any, I would pick it first out of the museum We all love, anything that reminds us of good childhood memories Still There were so many prettier designs Before: |

Looks like you're having a great time. Racing fuel that's leaded. I'll be dipped. Some great pics and love the camper mueseum!

Re: Let’s see where the wind blows me
My uncle had one of those Winnies. We had to put new plywood and studs on the passenger front . Hate to have an accident in it basically a shed on wheels . My parents had one of these in the early 70s it sat in the backyard for years when they got into motorhomes wish we had kept it but they moved from long island to upstate NY and they basically gave it away

Re: Let’s see where the wind blows me
Thanks for all the pictures in the museum for RVs. Such cool stuff. There used to be a few places here that you could buy Trick Fuel at the pump. The best I know of now is being able to buy 110 octane leaded in cans. What was the octane at that pump?

Mine too - I have a list of "Places to Visit" on my phone that I add to when I see a cool spot ...
Where is it exactly?

Re: Let’s see where the wind blows me
I have always liked the super small Mini Winnebagos. I think if one fell into my lap I might have to buy it (big might).
