80k for 40 yr old motor home is insane. Steeveedee is right, just from sitting all those years, it will need a lot of work. I nearly spit my coffee out when you posted the price. I would have a hard time justifying 40k...but that's just me and having grown up in a low income family in the 50's.
Some people say 40 k for a 50 year old truck is insane . These coaches are collectibles just like our trucks the market is out there . But the coach is overpriced I would say 50k tops but who knows

Our newer tractor couldn’t hold up to the Marybeth torture test . Told me yesterday it’s not cutting right and it’s hard to turn .

And repaired till next time I inspected the deck no sign of hitting anything I think it’s because the welded one side only on the bracket causing it to flex . I’m going to weld the other on the back side also

ALL the prices for anything considered classic or collector are insane. I'm on a forum for supercars and the rarest ones are selling $250-500k. Stuff we bought for 4k new or a few years old. Where do people get all the money ????
Motor coaches as collectibles ?? One would need a huge building for that "hobby".

I know a guy with six fire trucks talk about storage space . Motor homes and older trailers are very collectible.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

I know the older trailers are, especially the canned hams. I went looking for one in 2015. After recovering from shock, I bought a 16' 2013 Retro for 8k. Fully contained...
