Looking good. You'll have a great truck when finished. Nice garage also.

Re: My 70 LWB build thread

Where does time go?? I thought I better post a couple pics to show a little progress. I have been working on the rear end, front brakes, the rear disc which are Impala SS set up compliments of glock35ipsc, rebuilt tramsmission, and started the assembly of the motor. Here are some pics.

I got a steal on that transmission, complete rebuilt for $150. This guy had more truck parts laying around than he knew what to do with.

Re: My 70 LWB build thread

If I ship my '70 out there with my credit card taped to the dash, will you do all that for me?

I'm going to be watching this for inspiration!

Re: My 70 LWB build thread

When you cut the frame down did you put any kind of gusset inside the frame where it was cut and welded.

You can see the grade 8 bolts across the top. It's tough to tell because it's all black, but you can see it if you look close.

Re: My 70 LWB build thread

Thanks racinjason and jimmydean like the other thread says that racinjason posted I bought the ece frame stiffeners and bolted them in. I dont think there is any advantage or disadvantage to bolt or weld them in.

Sorry Guys I haven't even read my own thread. The front brakes are 73 and up style. I bought the whole front end kit from performanceonline which included drop spindels, ball joints, tie rods, tie rod adjusters, calipers, rotors, pads, bearings and other misc. The rear calipers are mounted with 12mm I think. "impala ss rear calipers" Here are a couple update pics. I finally got the motor and trans completed and set into place. 350 4 bolt punched .040 over, crank reground, align bored, mild cam, RHS torker heads, full roller rockers, and Edelbrock eps intake. Trans was complete overhaul and a B & M shift kit installed and a TCI sizzler torque converter.
