Re: 72 Custom/10 starting budget: 58¢

So I replaced the fuel filter nothing, checked for vacuum leaks... couldn't find any!
Then I pulled the seat out to look at the sock on the pickup tube...looks like someone dipped it in caramel and when I touched it, it flaked off. I read on the forum that some guys run without it so I tried it and then took it for a ride no problems! with fuel that is. engine doesn't sound very healthy so a friend of mine is going to check it out tomorrow for me.

Re: 72 Custom/10 starting budget: 58¢

Well finally started the bodywork!
Taking a auto body class at the local college and last night I started on the truck.
Going to start with the bed first, removed the tie down hooks from around the bed and the tail gate.
Welded in the holes and grinded them down, will have to go around and do some touch ups to my welding.

Didn't have enough time to apply plastic filler to all but did do three (teacher told me that I used way to much filler!) NOW I KNOW!
Sprayed everything with primer, now I have to wait for next Wednesday...
