A real pleasant 40 degrees here today, 20 mph wind out of the SE and rain. Reminds me of my 18 months at Fort Lewis Washington 1978-1979. No Gore Tex then.

Two nights ago...The wind carried dry bed dust from Summer Lake in Oregon some 300 miles to me here in Idaho and covered the ground and my dark brown truck I had sitting out side .. big blotches of white spots all over the truck .. had to scrub it off with lots of water to clean it up.,,Had winds in the 50 MPH bring it here with rain overnight ,,

Temps and wind almost the same. Temps in the low 50s yesterday and today, wind almost matches the temps. Wind gusts up to mid 50s locally, a bit worse further to the west of the state. Couple semi tractor trailers laid over on I-70 West, couple range fires also. Nothing huge like have had in the past but when the wind gets the flames going it can get out of hand real quick. Very dry, we need rain badly even as much as it keeps me from being outside doing things that need doing for spring clean up.

62*F. Light breeze - 25 gusting to 34. High fire danger. This is our main fire season, the time after it starts warming up and the wind starts blowing a bit and it hasn't greened up yet. Even if it rains, the winds dry everything out in a day or two.
