Re: ''Project '64 SYT Super Yenko Truck"
Insurance , registration, and maintenance on two vehicles could easily outweigh the gas savings. Not to mention admitting you like the ferd.
![]() If you are interested in fuel economy there are some different options to increase that and still have a hot-rod. I have been looking at some electric motors that go inline between the tranny and rear end. They augment the motor in normal driving, and they can add a lot of torque. Some of these are being used in drag racing. Here is an example http://www.sigmaautomotive.com/elect...trocharger.php |

I have owned several Ford trucks, and if you want to work your truck...you buy a Ford...Chevy trucks just are not able to handle being worked hard, I have killed alot of Chevys over the years, late 80s and early 90s even a few late 90s, they just don't last...transmissions are the weak link... Still love my old 62 Chevy but its not much of a truck...more lika a car..I mean really coil spring trucks?? what were they thinking? I don't care what model it is if I like it, I love the early Fords F100 and the late 40s-50s Chevys, I even like the old Dodge trucks(very few) I suppose there will always be the Chevy VS Ford debates...but really it is kinda stupid, both Companys have made sone really shi* trucks and cars over the years ..lol |
