Sure. Sounds good, but the weather looks like it'll be below freezing with more snow back there toward the end of the week. It'll be a few weeks before you take those old vehicles out on the road. Hopefully the cold will be a distant memory when we return.

Went to work in this today. Record for the latest snow fall ever in Portland. Three inches on the porch.

Re: whats your weather like?

What's my weather like? Totally normal and very typical. Temps are right on average, which is 66 for the high. Today will hit 83, then the next six days are 79, 70, 71, 54, 53, and 51. Yesterday was well into the 70s, Monday was 60s, and last weekend they said it was low 50s but it felt closer to 40s. I haven't done the math but I bet that averages out pretty well, but no days anywhere near 66. That's how it's been in recent years. Anything but the average but the exceptional highs and lows keep the average from changing.

Just did the math. That averages to 65.85... See what I mean?

Tornadoes and large hail in Western Iowa again last night. Nothing here except a little rain. Cool and windy again here but I guess I would rather have that....

I'm close to Grinnell.

Chance of snow Sunday and Monday....

They call Chicago the windy city but they got nothing on my place. That cold wind chills to the bone. Blue skies here. But that wind is brutal. It's colder than my ex wife with a lawyer.

I went to the post office and had to chase my hat around the parking lot. The wind blew it off my head and it was bouncing all over the place.

Driving home it shook my truck and I'm in a dually. I can't believe that I haven't lost one of my little trees yet because they're all getting blasted and bending over like a stripper that just got paid.

Same here. I have a relatively young-ish eucalyptus tree in my front yard that I had to quadruple stake because I was worried it was going to snap in half. And they're not cheap!

I imagine not. And Eucalyptus are prone to snapping. I have Cottonwood's. Same deal. Pretty trees but they break easily. Don't put them next to anything that you don't want smashed like your house. I already had one big branch take a nosedive on my big tree. But it's way out there. No harm, No foul. Just a mess to clean up.

Yeah, that was crazy hot today. Hasn't snowed in a few weeks but we were just having temps in the 40s that felt colder with the wind. My fingers were just shy of stingy. I have my bedroom window open and I can hear the wind roaring in the distance. Pretty sheltered here. It's a cold front coming in, though a week one. Should add up to about 5* cooler tomorrow. We'll be back to 50s in a few days. First day of Carlisle a week from today, sunny 60*... per-fecto!

Sucky . Started around 6 pm heavy wet snow changed over to rain about 5am . So now it’s heavy wet snow saturated with water. Going to let the sun get rid of it I’m not shoveling .

Re: whats your weather like?

60 & sunny today. Supposed to be pretty all week & in 80s by this weekend. So nice to see for a change. There have been tornados here the last 3 Wednesdays in a row; we are tired of rain & need it to dry up some!

Re: whats your weather like?

After over a week in the 60s-70s every day, it dropped into the 40s Sunday evening. 30s all day yesterday, never up to 40, then snow overnight. Typical Ohio, but it will turn quickly. May and June are typically he hottest months around here, the heat starts waning in July.

Didn't used to be like this though. The heat used to be July and August, tapering off in September.

Snow but not accumulation, yesterday and earlier today. Just windy and cold in the 40s, 30s last night and tonight. Getting nice for the rest of the week. I'm heading to Carlisle tomorrow

New record low for us, 21º this morning, old record was 25º set in 1928. We are supposed to start warming up a little now but with rain.

Yikes! We are planning to head home to Wisconsin from Arizona next week. It was 94* with a a nice breeze on our patio today. I know it's supposed to be a bit warmer next week, but.... I also hear the lakes are still frozen over. Maybe we should stay here another week!

It’s been a cold April. Yesterday morning it was 28. This AM it’s 42. I read that corn planting is delayed because of the cold weather.

Re: whats your weather like?

Frost this morning. May 15th is out frost-free date. I believe it this year. It's rare that I'll plant early anyway. Not this year! We get warmer than normal weather for a lot of Jan and Feb. Usually means we can expect some exceptional cold for spring. But not for the next handful of days!! Looking forward to upper-60s to lower-70s and 50ish nights at Carlisle!!
