Thank you for the complements on the truck and the dobie! I have always loved the red coloring because most people don't realize that he is a dobe. It's so funny when people ask me if Szabu (pronounced sa'boo) has dobie in him!

He really is a big baby. We spoil him pretty good. Hands down he has got to be the best dog I have ever owned. He looks mean but deep down.... well, his motto is "make love (or play or sleep all day) not war"!

Sun??? What's that? (blinking) Last time I saw the sun was when I lived in Arizona. The sun doesn't shine here in Oregon. All it does here it seems like is rain, constantly, 24-7, 365 days a year...

Actually I am loving the past couple of days, been like 100 degrees here! I'll take a few today for you sir of the bed woodage!

Woke up this morning to the view of our three horses grazing up the hill, outside of thier pen. Kitty, the one in the pic on the left, is the all-knowing troublemaker and figured out how to get the gate latch open. Looks like we will have to keep it locked down tighter!

Sorry guys, I need the money more than I need the truck. Will you still love me???

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=300230662921

Something has happened with the business that forces the sale, there really isn't much I can do. But I won't give it away...

Re: '67 step-side replacement rear bumper

Sorry you are forced to sell. I checked out the auction and i would definitely include the link to the build thread in your ebay auction. It will help people see how much went into it. Plus, you might reword some of it. I appreciate the honesty, but upon reading just the ebay post, i'd find it hard to think someone would pay 15K for it. But if you include the build post and clean up the ebay post (ie. less negatives) I think it would help you get what you're looking for.

Thanks for looking at it and your advice. I wasn't sure if including the build thread would help, but I guess it could. Thank you in advance for your advice. The price is what I HAVE to sell it for. Anything less and it wouldn't be worth it, even though the market right now may not support it.

The build thread shows how much hard work and attention to detail went into the build. It makes the purchaser feel more comfortable knowing what you've done with the truck. And it tells more than you'd ever be able to fit in an ebay ad. I'm sure others here can make recommendations for you and i'll take another look at it tomorrow night, but the main thing is a more favorable listing going over all the strong points. You can keep the comment about a 40 yr old truck, but instead of saying there are lots of little things to do, say that the truck is complete other than some final details that the next owner can put their own touch to (or something to that reguard....it's late)

Hey Rick, the other partner and I are basically having a falling out and I am not sure how things will go. I could split the body shop down the middle and then the lawyers get it all or be a nice guy and settle which means selling the truck as I used it as collertal for a loan for the shop. I will keep you guys posted.

Re: '67 step-side replacement rear bumper

Hey guys check it out, someone thinks my truck is worth at least $5,100!!! Guys look, I'm going to do everything in my power to not have to sell her. I spent alot of time working on it and this is my first "old" truck I have ever owned. I'll keep you posted.

Now I realize that asking $15K (my reserve is not that high) is alot but alot of work went into it and it would have easily cost someone that if they had paid for the work themselves. Besides for $15K I can pay off my debts and then get another project truck!

You have any more info on what guage steel you used on the sides when you reskinned them? That looked really cool

Re: '67 step-side replacement rear bumper

Hey guys, just a little update. Steps are being taken to prevent the sale of the "dream". However, this will cost me, oh boy will it cost me. It is either this, or spend much-o $$$ on lawyers to devide the body shop. Sucks huh? Oh well, chauk it up to experiance, right?

I'll keep ya posted.

You need to add some STRONG new pictures of the truck to the ad . It is alot more truck than the pictures represent . I watched this build from the start and your truck is sweet , and an inspiration .

ACK! Quality must now show too much as the highest bid was $5100.00. I have always believed that fixing up old cars, unless you keep them 100% orginal it is very hard to sell them as the person who is buying it has to love the custom choices you have made. I guess orange is not everyones color, although I cannot imagine why...

I'm offended. Time for a beer...

Btw Rick, thanks!
