Are they predicting snow where you are this weekend? We are on the line (always are). We could see 8” of snow or an icy mix. Last good snow was about 4 years ago. What about where you are at?

Re: Location location location

Our snow is finally gone and the weather is supposed to finally be decent after too much snow and too much rain. Wont be very warm, but Ill crank the heat up in our little Fiat 500 and put the top down and go for a ride.

We had a nice storm roll through here about 2 weeks ago and pretty much decimated all the infra structure. Just got my telephones back 2 days ago and ran off a generator for almost 9 days

Re: Location location location

This weekend we are expecting about everything. Really cold with high winds tomorrow. By Sunday evening 4-6" of snow. But wait, there is more. That will turn to sleet, then freezing rain, and finally just rain before it ends on Monday sometime in the morning, I think. Sounds like a real cluster...mess. So often here, it will be real cold, then warm up to rain. Piffs me off! I don't mind snow at all. After all, it's winter.

Rain Sleet SNOW

Get it wet , So the sleet will stick then snow for weight.

Poor trees and powerlines.

Re: Location location location

Bluebird weather here, 52 and sunny, no rain / snow in sight.... darn it. Hope it's not the start of more drought, we have had too much of that for way too long. Got several inches of snow a few weeks ago but it's mostly gone now. What we really need is a good thick snowpack in the high country, like 20 feet or more. Plenty of time left to get it, just hoping for a series of storms to make it happen.

Re: Location location location

Yup . Were suppose to get 10 inches and further inland up to two feet rather have the two feet of powder than 10 inches of wet heavy snow.

If you can, make sure to thank them. I made this sign last week out of an old piece of ply, bed sheet. We live on a state hwy that had a bunch of line trucks coming and going. We had a lot of trucks honking and taking pics. The "apes" (apprentices) sign was added by these guys. While talking to them, they said not a lot of people tell them thanks. I thought that was kind of sad.

Re: Location location location

I hope this precip we will be getting doesn't add up the heaviness on our powerlines. I keep plenty of water, drinking and utility, on hand for that very reason. I also have a spring really close by

Re: Location location location

Looks like we will be getting rain with a smidge of a possiblity of snow in Milledgeville. Probably just going to turn into ice and make a whole mess out of everything.

I'm currently daily driving Frankentruck, so I'm hoping there won't be any salty stuff thrown around if we don't need it. I already have enough rust holes

Yes!! Today was excellent working outside, still have 7 more trees to clean up on my property. I've got enough firewood banked up for the next 3 years already with those 7 to go. Shed holds 4.5 cords

Stay safe everyone. Windy as hell today here 50+ mph gusts at times but sunny and 55 otherwise. Supposed to be sunny and 39 tomorrow.
Make sure you go get your bread, milk and toilet paper from the grocery store like every other person who panic buys right before the snow hits

We are in the middle of one right now. 5" of heavy wet snow so far and it is supposed to snow all night. It was pretty decent temp wise today but temp is dropping as I type. We are predicted for 8.5 inches of this stuff.....

Re: Location location location

We got about 3-4 inches today. South of us they are looking at 10 inches. Its the light dry type snow so its easy to move around if you have one of these.

Windy as all get out here too. It shook my truck on the road. About blew me into the next lane and I was in my dually. But it was a teeny teeny bit warmer, not much. Enough to melt the snow.

The good news is that I was going to have to rake the leaves in my yard and they're all gone now. It's a beautiful thing.

That’s about how I was in my Company truck all day. Steering wheel half cocked trying to keep it straight and not drive like a drunk.
