The front dropmember got here and I got it installed today. I got all of the brackets on the rear and the pan hard tacked up.

Gotta get a arms ordered soon.

I was looking at different control arms and strong arms are on sale right now. Anyone have problems with them being used with the dropmember?

i am running the strong arms with mine, but i like the look of the PB arms better but i had these already ! How much is the price difference ? i would sure buy the PB's if it were me

They have them for $900 shipped through the end of the month.

Finally ordered control arms. I ended up getting porterbuilt ones that are going to be narrowed an inch.

I am working this week but next week, I am going to get the rest of the welding finished up, everything painted up and re-assembled. I should have a rolling chassis soon.

Ive been looking at a couple of threads here where a couple of people are putting 59-60 impala dashes in their c10s and I am sure contemplating doing the same. I am thinking adding some old school styling. I am thinking the truck would really look cool with one of those dashes, 20 inch rally wheels and some old script valve covers.

Anyone have one of those dashes they will part with?

Here are the rims im thinking about.

I got the rear taken apart, all the welding finished up, painted and put back together today.

Not much else to see but everything is painted now.

I scored a LT1 engine and a 4L60 transmission today. It was too good of a deal to pass up. I havent decided if I want to use it in this truck or not. Its this or a regular old SBC with a carb, and suggestions?

The LT1/4L60 is the way I am going to go. Today I did get it all bolted up so I can start working on fuel lines, brake lines and airlines. The engine is out of a caddi so it has iron heads. I didnt think the brackets were going to be able to work but they do now. I had to trim the cruved piece of the frame on the passanger side for clearance of the a/c compressor. It looks like I will have to find a remote reservoir for the power steering. All the accessories are on the passanger side so it looks like I will have plenty of room to make up a bracket for a york compressor on the drivers side. Here are a couple of pictures all bolted in. I think I found some aluminum heads, we will see. The engine will be comming back out for paint because I hate the color that it is.

Im hoping Nate gets my control arms out this week so I will have a rolling chasis soon.

I wish I did. I sold that truck 6-7 years ago (regretfully). If I did have the dimensions, I would be selling these brackets (CNC plasma cut). The York would replenish 2 - 5 gallons tanks (from 75 psi to 150) in a matter of 20-30 seconds at 2000 rpm. I loved it.

Yea not to mention you dont hear the sound of the electric pumps. Well Ill send you some when I get this one made up. Ill shoot you a pm for a quote for a tank.
