Need a new hood

So my hood flew open on me this morning while I was on the freeway. Needless to say I find myself in need of a new hood. 😒 Anybody know who makes repop hoods (besides brothers trucks). And speaking of brothers trucks, anybody have experience with their hoods?

Re: Need a new hood

All truck suppliers have, or will have shortly, the repro 62-66 hood. They are all made in the same factory, same place, in China. As it is with all reproduction sheetmetal. Brother's doesn't manufacture anything. All repro sheetmetal, in my experience, needs "tweaking", none of it is as good as NOS parts. Shop around for the best deal, best service, all truck suppliers get the same parts.

Re: Need a new hood

I would start checking Craigslist for a good, used original.

You can also become a supporting member on this site and post a WTB ad in the Classified area. You can also look in the Classified area for someone selling a hood.

Thanks guys for the great leads (especially you derail!). I think I've found one local. Fingers crossed it will be nice. I'll post some pics soon of the damage to the old one.
