1 bag miniature marshmallows
1 large jar hot fudge
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 dash brown sugar
2 dozen Oreos

Preparation

1. Line the bottom of a casserole dish or a large plate with the Twinkles.
2. Pour the caramel topping evenly over the Twinkles and smooth with a knife.
3. Pour the miniature marshmallows over the top of the caramel until it is completely hidden.
4. Pour the hot fudge over the marshmallows.
5. Sprinkle the spices over the hot fudge.

7. Serve immediately.

OK, I copied this and printed it out. I am definitely cutting it in half though. WoW!

Re: favorite snow day food?

None of that for me. I can't handle both Twinkies in a pack.

I didn't go to the job I was going to. Got going on projects here. Hadn't had lunch yet when I ran into town for a hardware item. Still wasn't snowing when I went it. Went up front to pay, spent a little time in there, got more than the one thing, and it was snowing really good coating everything. It had been 9* last night, so sticking to everything! I get home and really need to eat lunch. Had bread in the toaster for a quick grilled cheese sandwich since it's steak on the grille after dark. In the drawer for cheese I saw the pack of little smokies (Christmas tradition) I had bought because I thought my son would be back from Nashville by now. They had to be eaten, so they went into the pan. I put the bread back in the bag and mad up some buckwheat cakes. It's going of 4:00 and I'm just now eating lunch. I guess it will be later this evening for grilling the steak. Probably be sleeting by then. Oh well. Steak is worth it!

Brown 1 lb ground venison or lean ground beef
Add 1 package taco seasoning (I like Lawry's) and about 1/2 cup water, 2 cans Rotel juice included, and 1 brick Velveeta.

I like Frito Scoops, but my family prefers tortilla chips.

It's all good!

Thanks! Yeah, there's definitely a meal in there if you want it to be. I'm assuming that you put it all together and microwave it, stirring at intervals? Now the big question is, whether or not I can stop myself from getting a big brick of Velveeta on my next trip to the store and going to town on this. Pretty sure I won't be waiting until the snow comes back though, haha.

Re: favorite snow day food?

This thread made me want to make some chili, so I went to get the stuff after my classes today. The store was out of ground beef, so going to try ground turkey instead.

Also picked up some brats and had some chicken thawed out. It was 63 degrees in Milledgeville today, so it was grilling time. Of course, my grill ran out of gas.... right as the brats were done

I actually do it in a big black iron skillet. It has sides just high enough so that the whole thing doesn't spill over. I do stir often to keep it from scorching. Also, I cook the meat with the taco seasoning & half cup water for a bit before adding the tomatoes & cheese. Forgot to mention that.

I'm with your family on that one. I don't like Fritos We always had them as a kid. My brothers loved them. Not me. Give me good ole tortilla chips every time.

I almost always use beef or chicken stock in place of water for a little more flavor.

Copy that. Thanks. I had figured the may need to be cooked before combining the ingredients.
