Looking good. Flows really well like water running off the dash. Love it!

Re: 50 Chevy Trck Chassis

Thanks guys! Wish we had more to show. Just an fyi, the center section of the console has been reinforced with 3/4" angle nearly all the way across. This was done before we cut the drop-out in the center. I mention this because it acts as a supporting structure. We hope to accentuate the curves of the truck in the console as best as we know how. Renegade has constructed a speaker box behind and between the seats so the plan is to run the framework and sheet metal all the way up as a cover. Hopefully he will post a pic of the box because it is a nice one! Thanks for your continued interest in the project and please don't hesitate to post your pros and cons with our process.

Love it!!!
I've checked this build out from time to time. Always enjoy the updates. All the fab work is great!
The frame is awesome. I use it for inspiration on mine.

Re: 50 Chevy Trck Chassis

Hey Guys,

Fab1 and I got a little more done this weekend. I ordered a new 5hp, 80lb 4 cylinder compressor for the shop. Started running the airlines. Fab1 and I took the cab off the rotisserie, hooked it up to the new trolly hoist, rolled it over top of the engine and set it on the frame. Now I will get started with the steering linkage, and bolting on the front end and start aligning everything while Fab1 finishish up the console.

Your dash reminds me of this General Motors "Dream car" from the fifities.

Thanks for the comments guys. I hope our pannels fit a little better than they do on the "dream car". Fab1

Re: 50 Chevy Trck Chassis

Frickin' awesome chassis. I'm not a huge fan of the air cleaners either (like previous comments) but to each his own. I'm sure there are plenty of things on my truck that others don't like. As long as each of likes our own trucks, then we're good. Amazing work! I wish I had a fraction of your talent.

Re: 50 Chevy Trck Chassis

Guys,

It has come down to the the point that I will not be able to finish my truck due to loss of revenue coming in. I am going to have to sell her as I need the funds to pay off some bills.
It has been fun and I have enjoyed building this truck with my good friend and neighbor Fab1. But I need to sell and move on.

If anyone is interested, I will make them a good deal. You can contact me at renegade8720@gmail.com

Thanks to everyone for their kind comments on what Fab1 and I received from you guys on this build.

That's unfortunate but I guess life has to come first. Good luck.

Looks like the build was fun!

What exhaust hangars are these that bolt to the frame?

Re: 50 Chevy Trck Chassis

Sorry to see that the truck had to be sold before it was finished but sometimes life does get in the way of the fun stuff.

This will be a thread that is referred to for years to come when people throw out the misconception that extremely high quality builds don't get done in guy's home garages. True the skill level is obvious but that can be attained by others and attention to detail is attention to detail.

Well done, I just hope that who ever bought the truck sees the build through to the end with the same high quality attention to detail.
