Coy's 20x10 with 275 40/20's rear, 18x8 235 40/18 front. 72 Monte Carlo sub frame with 1 coil cut. Lowering rear leaf springs, need to run mini tubs and early Camaro rear end 60" wide. I will be adding a 3" c notch and 1" lowering shackle this winter, to get the back down alittle more.

Hey Pro1955: How low is the lowest part of the front fender from the ground? Look good! Do you have any issues with it bottoming out anywhere?

I also am going for that look... here is a pic of mine im running the same size tire and wheel in the front but went with an 18x10 in the rear and a little more side wall. Its a 74 firebird sub and had 2" hotchkis lowering springs in the front. It (had) them. the tires scrubed when turning at all so i changed the springs out to a new set of stock springs and it sits about 1" higher now with no clearense issues.

Nice looking truck, man. How about posting more pictures? The original poster wanted more info on these trucks and I think he's gettign it with all these discussions of stances and rim/tire sizes. I am loving it. Do you have a photo of the truck with the 1" taller stacne in front and the taller side wall? What aspect ratio tire are you running now?

No issues with front and rarely bottoms in back as it is now. It has a great ride very smooth, I balanced the drive line, all new bushings front and rear. 40 series tires help out the ride.

all you guys wanting to do a c-notch in the future, make sure your center section, (pumpkin) wont bottom out on the wood bed floor.
i was going to c-notch my frame a few months ago, then took some measurements, and sure enough my rear pumpkin will hit the wood bed floor. so if and when i do notch my rear frame, i will need to cut a hole in the wood, or raise that area of the floor so it will clear. just a thought..

It will eventually. Well, I assume you intend to keep at it. Mine feels like I never get ahead and yet when I looked at which picture to post I realize I've done more than I remember.

In my case I bought it as a daily driver for a truck and something unique to replace a Cavalier. My thoughts are to get it roadworthy, safe and replace all the broken stuff. I will put a T5 in it and already have the trans with a spacer. I also have a pair of Fenton split manifolds for the 235 and hope to swap out the Rochester. There is no room left in the garage for another sunny day driver.

Hi Leonard,
Yup, just since May; only about four months. The main thing is I got a relatively good one to start except w/ 4 fugly rims & tires. I happened to have had the Torq-Thrusts & a Craigslist find got me good (if tall) rubber for $80. I did all fluids, filters, belts, hoses myself in an afternoon for under $100, then scored the valve covers & air cleaner for another $150 from eBay. Appearence wise that's about all I've done.

Mechanically & electrically is another story; an expensive story too because of labor but she
runs great now. I don't use it as a daily, but I COULD reliably and safely which is where I
wanted to get as quickly as possible

Funny you ask right now. I was working on the driver's door yesterday and I found rust-out in the bottom of it. I'm debating if I should stop, pull both doors and send them to a blaster? But that's a slippery slope because I'm wondering what it'll cost and if I should/could afford to pull the bed off too? Kabwe has a local blaster he trusts so I need to drop him a PM for a name & number.

I'm planning on lowering it SOME but not slamming it. I'm thinking maybe 3" lowering rear springs and a 3" drop axle in front. Then if it's not low enough in front I can pull a leaf or two.

Well when I did my cab they change me 250 inside and out. If was was going to do the bed I would disassemble it.
