Brake Drums

What's the difference between the front and rear brake drums on a 1969 K10? Are the front and rear drums interchangeable? I only ask because the brake shoes and hardware are the same for both, but the parts house only has a listing for the rear drum?

If you don't get an answer here you might try the "All 4x4 Tech and Off Roading" forum.

The amount of info on this site is amazing. If you scroll down to the bottom of this page you will see a "Forum Jump" box. Click on the little down arrow on the right side and a box will pop up showing all of the different forums on the board. Scroll through them until you see the "All 4x4 Tech and Off Roading" forum. Click on it, it will take you right to it.....

When you get there you can also click on the "Search This Forum" button and do a search on there.

Re: Brake Drums

As far as I know, nothing: mine uses the same drums front and back, but I can't speak fro what replacements might have happened before I bought it.

Re: Brake Drums

Classic Parts lists the same part # for front & rear. It doesn't separate K10 from C10 on 1/2 ton models but does show a difference on 3/4 ton. I would accept them as being the same.
