Thanks guys! I appreciate the kind words. It seems that builds like this just don't get the attention that the radical lowering stuff gets but there is a group that can see where this is going.

The idea for the truck is very simple. Restore it better than the factory built it. The next few weeks will really show some progress!

Wheel ideas anyone?

We've been busy this week. She's starting to show up. I'm able to spend full days over at my friends shop and he's given me the job of parts refinisher.

In these pics you'll see a couple of his sandblasting cabinet. We call it Red Green. Because of the duct tape holding the replacable lens on. As in " I'm going outback for awhile and getting my a** kicked by Red Green".

As you can see, you kneel at this cabinet of torture.

Can anyone name the car I'm using for a parts sorting table?

The tail gate really gives me hope that we're seeing the light at the end of the tunnel now. Our goal is startup by friday.

Great work! When I first saw the car that is holding your parts up, I thought it was a 68-72 Nova. Now that I look at it more, I am thinking early 70's Challenger. Hmmmm...

You guys are good! Yup, 70 Challenger. 340 and an auto. It got delayed on my friend's project list when my pickup snuck into line last fall.

After the Challenger is done, a nice little 67 Chevelle will get it's turn.

Today should be fun, steering column, HVAC, carpet, radio etc. I'll try and post pics at the end of the day.

No pics today. Too damn tired. How many parts that need detailed are there on a 38 year old pickup!!!?

My dual cone speaker wouldn't fit today. It wouldn't allow the radio ( original am) to fit. The top of the radio hits the speaker before leveling out and coming through the dash.

Anyone ran into this?

Pretty sure, you can get it through any restoration chain. I also believe you just hand form it onto the hose and into the hole on the a/c box. Trevor

Here's a few for you guys that have subscribed. Notice the before and after of the ac lines. My brother came by and put in a few hours. Very nice and much appreciated.

It's coming along slowly but surely. We'll drive it next week!
