Not given up, but they do need to be rethought for the PCV. That effort could be used more affectively into gettin' the motor RUNNING

Let's recap where I've been
5 day fishin' trip
first granddaughter born
35 year wedding anniversary
bridal shower for daughter-in-law
visit my Mom for Mothers Day
changing shifts at work
Taking care of wifey
surgery for Jeremy
and maybe just enuff time to take a crap for me

Nice to be missed

Still have a clearance issue behind my top sprocket on the double row timing chain

Re: PO has me PO'd

Some updated shots of the engine...

Senator350 gave me the idea for the return line on the top heater hose. And LHM was adamant about the use of the PCV system, so with the help from Tynee(thanks for the VC's), I went back to the stock system

Also borrowed the adapter(inverted flare to AN-6) from my PS box to mock up fuel line

Still in the mock up, but I agree on the dope...you should know about plumbing. Teflon tape or dope? No need on the AN stuff, right?

This no edit thing stinks...if you mess up, it is printed into eternity.LOL

You're a plumber, that's why I asked. Isn't there a rule not to put dope on the first 2 threads so it doesn't get into your system. Thanks for the invite to Mich., some day I may be able to take you up on it

Haven't heard about the 2 thread rule, but it sounds like a good one.

Let me know when you're heading this way and I'll put the beer on ice.

I feel for you brother, tough break, but you still have one of the nicest blazers on the board. Are you sure a thrust washer goes behind the upper cam spocket?

I still have to find out if the waterpump will work on the street, you's guys will be the first to know if it doesn't work

Re: PO has me PO'd

Trying to fix the attempt by the PO when he added a 4" lift, brake lines were to short, so he added the 'L' bracket. I'm sure this is adequate, but I am extremely anal...

Bought the front 2 SS brake lines from In-Line tube w/ brackets, minor amount of tweaking and they bolted up. Not sure if my brackets are in the right place

Re: PO has me PO'd

Finished up all my brake lines(do this with the front end sheet metal off), PITA, otherwise. Couple problems, my local hydraulic hose shop made my front lines, as suggested by the board, I added 8" for a 4" lift. The fitting he used for the brake was a 10mm, so I had to bore it out to 7/16", he didn't have the right fitting. Only about .003" differance, but the bolt wouldn't go in. Two locations on the frame for the hose to go thru, one with the flat, and one without, my fitting didn't have the flat. So I used the upper hole, plus I used a panel nut, beefier than the sheetmetal nut.

Those guys at In-Line tube had all the bends right on. Make sure all fittings are started by hand a good 3-4 turns, nothing is worse than cross threading a new brake line
