Another GMC in a rare factory applied special order color, this one appears to be a gold brown metallic color?. Funny how much harder it is to find a Chevys in a special order color compared to GMC's. An interesting observation, IMO, most Chevys with special order paint were owned by governments or fleets, most GMC's seem to have been privately owned. Maybe GMC salesman pushed selling more unique colors with a lineup of trucks that had more unique mechanical features than the competition?

I'd have to go dig it up but somewhere I have some documentation on it seems like. I wish I had taken photos of the sage green factory painted interior on that longbed I found that time - I do however have one of that trucks' sage green door panels w/ green based armrest so I will dig that up and attach here

I found it as a 1965 Coca Cola Sprite truck fleet color called light green ? This looks like a 1965 tag.

5661DWL - I finally snapped a few quick pics of my most recent acquisition - the Tahiti Coral and White 61 I told you about earlier in this thread. Here are some shots. Had a 235 from the factory and my buddy bought an incredibly well preserved 61 Chevy Viking 70 series firetruck and robbed the 8,800 original miles 348 Big Block from it and stuck it in this little 61....runs smooth as silk and purrs like a kitten. Great motor. The cannister on the drivers inner fender is dealer installed vacuum power brakes - available as an option back in 61....pretty cool

Thanks - I thought it was really neat that if you run the engine suffix and casting # it comes up as "1961 348 - truck" so technically speaking its "correct" and numbers matching minus the overall fact that Chevrolet did not offer the 348 in a 10 series truck.

Yeah, as a regular production option, but, there have been cases were the Central Office (COPO) got involved and special ordered equipment for finicky customers who insisted on paying the extra cost.

Does anybody have any pics of the 62-63 only Sea Mist Jade Metallic? I have a tailgate I picked up for my truck that I believe was this color and I have only come across one truck that I believe is the color.
