help me engine wont start!!

I have a 1994 chevy s10 blazer 2wd with 4.3 engine
i did a lower and upper intake gasket change and valve cover gasket change.

i did everything very good and i reinstalled the distributor where it was when i pulled it out,

now its all put back together and it will not start,
it turns over but no start
it makes some pop noises on the air manifold that goes from upper intake to air filter, u can hear it popping,

also i have this wire/hose? that i dont know where it goes does anyone know??
its located in the back of the distributor comes from the firewall,

thanks

Re: help me engine wont start!!

Is that the coil wire? Bring up the #1 spark plug again with the plug out and just double check, there is no shame in it. It happens to the best of us, once in a while really, if you are tired, hot or super busy. Jim

Double check the distributor phasing and the firing order. That hose goes to a manifold vacuum source and is used for operating the doors in you heater box.
