Storing bed/ front end...stand on end?

I am going to pull the whole front clip off my 68 C10, as well as the bed, and I am at a premium for space in my garage. Does anyone see any issues with storing the clip vertically on the end of the fenders (bumper up) and the bed on the front end-panel? Paint is in pretty good shape and I want to avoid any issues so I figured I’d ask here first! Don’t know how much these things even weigh.

I have 2 front clips stored upright on the back edge of the fenders and have stored beds on the front panel end with no problems. Just be sure and secure them to something so no one can accidentally tip them over.

The nose, What I have done is.
Goto a store that sells tv's and ask for a tv box. or a florist. you want a box long and narrow, tv box you will cut down to size.
Then wax paper the painted part of the fender door jam edge to 5-6" toward front.
put box over back end of fender and spray expanding foam in boxwith 1" air gap between box bottom and fender door jam end of fender. foam expands, now remove the painters tape off the painted surface of the fender that was holding wax paper. don't leave the tap on the painted surface.
now when you stand the nos up. it is sitting on a cardboard box and foam. less likely to damage the fender edge and paint. And it is cheap. wax paper in kitchen, box free from where ever, and a 5 dollar can of spray foam.

Sorry to bring this post back from the dead, but I got away with putting the front end on end and it worked great, but now I am at the point I removed the bed (its a long-bed) and want to store it for the winter.....it is pretty damn heavy and has some nice paint on it that I don't want to screw up.

Before I chance it, I will be able to put this up on the tail panel end without damaging the paint or the weight collapsing the bottom of the bedside where it extends past the bed floor (this is what I am most concerned about as when I rotate it upwards all the weight will be on this sheet-metal here)? Anyone do this successfully on a long-bed and have any tips?

Tape that edge with several layers of masking tape. Set it down on a folded moving blanket or some medium density foam(the black stuff). Wait until you have AT LEAST 3 people to do the job. Pretty sure it weighs over 400 lbs. It's real easy to bang the back of your cab when you lift it up so you may want to slip a moving blanket between the cab & bed when you lift it off. The original bedsides are strong enough to support the bed. I would not try it with repops.

I'll add..... Build a dolley/cart vs just sitting on the floor.
I stored both the front clip & short fleet bed of my 64 (on end) on wooden dolleys w/casters. I used ratchet strap style tie-downs to keep them secured to the dolleys. They are easy for 1-person to shuffle them around to re-create space as needed.

Since it was mentioned.... I wouldn't be worried about storing the bed on end even w/aftermarket bedsides. As long as there's a slight protective cushion on the end the weight is on they should be just fine.
