Re: WAYNE's 58 APACHE BUILD THREAD

This is quite the opprotunity to save thats for sure... Im planning on taking 30 days when i get back, Im either trailering the truck to ohio to finish it up under the direction of my grandfather. But hes getting a little too old to be working in the garage anymore so we will see if he is still up to it in July. Ive also thought about out sourcing but im so afraid of getting ripped off it isnt funny. So ill get if figured out when I get back....Im still hoping trick my truck has showed up to my house and will have it done for me when I get back lol. We will see

As another set of eyes, I noticed in the photos of the cab in primer, that the right hand rear cab corner is not contoured the same as the LH side, which looks factory stock in shape.

Re: WAYNE's 58 APACHE BUILD THREAD

yes, That was my first weld job so I didn't feel competent enough to due a butt weld so its overlapped. there is about a 1/16th of an inch difference on the weld surfaces. I know it looks bigger however for my first time Im happy with it, I didnt want to do bondo but its the only spot that will have a little.

Re: WAYNE's 58 APACHE BUILD THREAD

Well Im about 30 days off from R&R and I have specific orders from household 6 that no work will be done on the truck while I am home, however she made a deal with me. She would take me to Texas for the whole Race Weekend........I guess I can deal with that.
