how my truck looks now

hey guys, i joined here last may, 4 months after i got the truck. i posted pictures of it in may, 07. when youi last saw it it was all different colors (red, yellow, etching primer... but now, a bit more than a year and a half later, it's finally shaping up. in september, we pulled the bed off to get that straightened up, and ready for paint. now its time to do the other half of the truck. the front roll pan needs to be welded in, trim holes need to be filled, rot needs to be fixed, and i'd like to fill in the antenna hole on the cowl, and put a frenched antenna on the cab corner, opposite of the gas cap. the whole roof skin needs to be replaced since the previous owner rolled the truck over in a ditch, and covered it with bondo.

the plan for paint is gloss black, with 60's to 70's style flames. wheels will be switched to steel wheels, and it will have thin whitewall tires with a chrome bullet through the centers.

some day i would like to build a better engine for it. i have a 350 4 bolt main in the garage. i'd like to bore it .60 over, get a nice cam in it, and maybe a multi-carb intake.

i would like to take it back to the track. this truck has a history at the drags. i was told it used to run a 400 smallblock, and it ran in the 12's down in north carolina.

Re: how my truck looks now

Before you primed it looks like the truck version of Andy's suburban.
