Re: porterbuilt bandwagen

trying to figure out rim backspacing. I have some 22" rims being built, but not sure of the correct backspacing. 22 x 8.5 fronts and 22 x 10 rears.
Were can I find the right dimensions?

On nates forum they are under have a question about our parts. I think page 2 or 3. I believe the 22x8.5 back spacing is 5.25 and the 22x10 are a backspace 5.5. The rear backspace is with the narrower 67-68 rearend which is 1.5 narrower total. 3/4" each side. I will try to find it and bump the thread for you on porterbuilt fabs website.

Re: porterbuilt bandwagen

Thank you, yes it helps. I texted Nate and he got back to me today. Pretty sure I'm going with 6" backspace front and rear.

Re: porterbuilt bandwagen

got some new shoes, custom built by Ken Esajian.
22 x 8.5, and 22 x 10. Cant wait to get some rubber on these.
I just set up as a dealer for these. $2800 any backspace you want. 4-6 week delivery time.

North county, San Marcos.

Well, unfortunately these won't make it on this truck. This truck is now being finished in miami by its new owner. I am putting these on a new build. I will start up a new thread as soon as I get my pictures and info in order.

If you don't mind... Post a link to the new thread here.

Hate to see you're not going to finish this truck.

Re: porterbuilt bandwagen

well its been a while since I have posted. Allot has changed in the last year. I sold the last truck to a guy in Miami and havn't heard about it since. I started another mild build and traded it for another running truck. I just cant seem to finish one of these on my own. Here is the latest. Its a little crazy on the paint, but the truck is pretty solid. it has a stroker small block with a 700r trans and allot of mods including bags and 4 link. I will be posting it up in the for sale section if anyone is interested.

It's all good, I was just getting ready to renew my membership when you posted, you just beat me to it!

This is what the last trade project looks like now. It's being finished by socal suspension in el cajon Ca. This what I traded the colorful truck for. This one is pretty nice, but needs allot of finishing. I'm sure eric at socal will do it up right!

Re: porterbuilt bandwagen

oh man, so much has changed since this started.
The porterbuilt truck wound up in Miami
The blue truck is now green/black and in san diego,
The rainbow truck got painted yellow and went to Quatar, Saudi Arabia.

Its hard to keep them straight. I am now building an ls powered 55 belair.
