What all the fuss has been about..'71 Cheyenne

Thought I would throw in what all the electrical and distributor quizzes related to. Still have things to do but 90 % is up and running. Turns our the old dist 1103436, had a scored shaft and well worn gear, on top of the cap innerds problems. Needs a new speaker for the radio and the horn does not function yet but the steering wheel is out of a '70 Chevrolet SS and needs a cup. Haven't decided if I will replace it with a stock wheel yet.
PO took the side trim off but that is on the list of to-dos

Looks good. I rebuilt one that could pass for it's twin a few years ago.

I had a 1971 Cheyenne Super that same color. Heard some say they didn't make the Super in 71 but they did. Shouldn't never have sold that truck.

Sooo, the PO removed the trim AND filled the holes? (Can't see holes in picture, even if I expand it...)

I like it!!!

Went through your town a couple of times as a kid in the 60's on way to visit some family friends in southern Illinois, on a vacation (one of only 2 or 3 vacations we EVER took). I remember the Blue Bird bus manufacturing place. I understand it i has been shuttered for a long time...We lived in Center Point, then...

Carry on, keep us all posted!!!

Yes, removed and filled in...ugh.
Bluebird plant is now a precast concrete plant. Use to be able to pick up marine grade TnG plywood cutoffs they used for flooring...freebies. And good size.
