I need help picking out wheels

Looking to put some different wheels on my truck. I know the options are endless, but I haven't found anything I love or I'm afraid to pull the trigger on something not knowing how it will end up looking. I've even pondered the idea of powder coating the wheels I've got and leaving the center cap?

I would love any help, recommendations, pics of trucks to help me choose what I should go with. They would need to be a 6 lug wheel. Thank you![ATTACH]Name: IMG_7959.jpg

Re: I need help picking out wheels

Here is a thread on 6 lug wheels , I went with Chrome old school Vette wheels , You may consider just changing the center caps to change the look of the wheels you have already ?

Check this out.
You can see easily what different wheels look like on your particular ride.

If you want to save some cash with some polishing these will shine. And look like mine.

P.S. I have no connection with the seller. I happened to see these here on the forum this morning.

Re: I need help picking out wheels

I prefer old school but with 18" or 20" wheels. To me they fill the wheel wells better?

It's a tough choice as wheels almost always require tires also. Expensive to purchase and even worse if you get them installed, and don't like them, as by then they are yours.

Theses are 5 bolt but I think you can get them in 6 bolt as well. 17 inch American Racing Torque Trust 2's.

The wheels you have are awesome. If you do change, keep it classic on that particular truck.

Re: I need help picking out wheels

This is the rare thread where there is nothing wrong at all with your truck in the first place, and yet every single pictured suggestion is awesome and would look incredible on your ride also.

My vote is the Corvette rims. Or just stick some Police caps on those rims you already have. That's a beautiful truck.

Re: I need help picking out wheels

What you have now are chrome smoothies with baby moon "hubcaps". Those look great and are a cool retro look. If you powder coat them white you will have what Yuccales has. You'll have to check with the vendor, but you should be able to use any of the other centers made to fit the inner nub type wheels such as smoothies and replica Corvette Rallyes. There are the Vette center caps, spinners, and even a few replica Chevy car caps from the '50s

A white or light grey powder coat would look good. What color is your seat/interior?

Re: I need help picking out wheels

You could powder coat the wheels same color as the green on the truck and keep the baby moons chrome.

Re: I need help picking out wheels

I have 19" on the front and 20" on the rear. It gives you more options on what to do behind the wheel. I have 15" on my '85 SWB that have enough clearance to the factory brake callipers to slide a piece of paper through. They do look cool, though.
