Check the FAQ section. There is a wealth of information contained there.

I haven't looked into 67-72 C/30 drop kits. But you can always make the '73-up stuff work

Re: C/30 help

Your best option is to convert the front to 73-87 c30 parts.
The coil springs and shocks will be the same.
Use 73-87 c30 drop spindles.

Contact Switch Suspension.
They sell a lot of c30 drop kits.
Tell them what you are doing and they will fix you up.

Re: C/30 help

It really depends on what level of drop you want. The C30 used the same spindle as the C20 so they are both interchangeable. Wester Chassis or POL (same company) have lowering kits for the 20's and 30's. I am in the middle of a C30 project myself. Porter built and GSI also has upper and lower A arms for these trucks. They do get pricey because they are all typically made to order and not just off the shelf because this is not a common or should I say popular truck to drop.

Are you planning to bag it or do a static drop? With bags everything has to be up sized because of the load ratings. All of these parts are available.

Re: C/30 help

My build although slow will be using completely custom four link in the rear with 1 ton bags, the front will be using the components I described ^^.

What type of wheels and tires were you planning. Finding custom dually wheel that are not cookie cutter is proving to be difficult. All of the companies that design dually wheels seem to have all hired their designers from the same CAD school. I see very little thinking outside the box, and a whole lot of CAD catastrophes where every wheel is looking like every other wheel. These new modern designs may work on the SEMA bro-dozers but the classic lines of old iron needs a classic wheel design to match the genre.

I have zeroed in on my set but it is going to take some creativity to set them apart from any other truck at the show.
