Factory Silver Truck

I was just wondering if anyone has a picture of a factory silver 64-66 C10. My Canadian built truck has a paint code of 5005 Ird Silver.
Thanks

Re: Factory Silver Truck

I'm not certain, but I'm pretty sure this looks to be factory paint. Not sure of the paint code on it though sorry.

Re: Factory Silver Truck

If you ckick on the "G-B-Y" in the PaintRef site it will show Google, Bing and Yahoo picture threads of the color you choose. Here it shows a silver for 1966 - https://paintref.com/cgi-bin/colorco...page=1&rows=50
There is a mention of 5005 Ird Silver in this thread - http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=720266

Love the Omaha Standard livestock rack! Would like to have one of those.

OEM, Given your 'most original truck' thread, I'm pretty sure we have the same taste in trucks! How good does that original paint look!

I wish I had a better story on it than I do. It was on Craigslist in Northern California in around October 2020, and was a one family owned truck if memory serves me right. The ad only had an email (no phone), and I sent a message as soon as I saw it, but got a bounce back saying it was an incorrect address (I used the direct link). The ad stayed up for weeks, but I could not make contact - talk about a tease! I was hoping it'd show up here at some stage, but not yet by the looks of it.

It looked super original to me. It was a V8, three on the tree. Is that reasonably unusual? Most of the C20's I see are 6 cyl, granny geared. Silver also appears to be a relatively rare color...but I thought 17.5in wheels were rare until you steered me right, so what would I know!
